Get Involved

The Beacon-Hopewell Rail Trail Study is being guided by an Advisory Committee with representatives from Dutchess County, New York State Department of Transportation, Metro-North/MTA, City of Beacon, Village of Fishkill, Town of Fishkill, Town of East Fishkill, and the Hudson Highlands Fjord Trail. We’re also working with elected officials, local boards, key agencies, community organizations, and potential rail trail users, like you!

We’re holding a series of virtual and in-person events to get your feedback and help guide the planning process. Below is our upcoming schedule of events:

  • February 19, 2025 at 7 pm: Fishkill Town Board Presentation

  • March 3, 2025 at 6 pm: Fishkill Village Board Presentation

  • March 3, 2025 at 7:30 pm: Beacon City Council Presentation

  • March 13, 2025 at 6 pm: East Fishkill Town Board Presentation

  • March 20, 2025 at noon: Virtual Public Meeting #1 (also being recorded)
